Private lessons

Alexander Technique consultations with me are tailored to suit what you want to learn, change, enhance.

Usually this will include involve experiential learning about lightening up from ground to crown, cooperating with gravity, a body-mind reset back to neutral, your tension and holding patterns and how to change them, clarifying your mind-map of your body, how it moves, where it folds.

I teach with demonstration, verbal instruction and with gentle manual guidance (optional). Everyday actions of standing, sitting, walking, lying are used as experimental resources. Clients can bring activities and props as they wish (eg instrument).

Similar to the “teach someone to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime” proverb (Lao Tzu), my goal is to empower clients with Alexander Technique principles they can apply independently, ultimately making my role as a teacher unnecessary.
